This Week's Live Music for Live Audiences

Mother Mother at Irving Plaza on February 2
Mother Mother headlined at Irving Plaza on February 2

In the first week of February, Kacey Musgraves, King Princess, Muna, Eddie Vedder & the Earthlings, Mother Mother, Dillon Francis & Yung Gravy, Fireboy DML, the Wood Brothers, Still Woozy, D Smoke and other touring musicians played New York's larger venues. Meanwhile, dozens of equally talented yet less famous musicians have been drawing concert lovers to smaller clubs, bars and restaurants since the beginning of 2022. Live music is back!

Live music lovers can discover brilliant new sounds this week in and around New York City. In most cases, these performances can be enjoyed in small locations with dinner or large venues with adult beverages.

Nevertheless, several factors including COVID concerns and weather conditions still cause schedule changes, often with little time to advise ticket holders, much less the general public. The following shows were scheduled for this week and have been postponed.

  • Boyz II Men, Keyshia Cole, El DeBarge, Musiq Soulchild, Tank, Ginuwine, Avant, Dru Hill, Big Daddy Kane, Funk Flex at Barclays Center, Brooklyn
  • The Warning at the Gramercy Theatre
  • Darlingside, the Ballroom Thieves at the Music Hall of Williamsburg, Brooklyn
  • Ian Sweet at Baby's All Right, Brooklyn
  • Duke Robillard at the Iridium
